- Augment the Test Automation Services Team with Test Automation Framework or Test Case development and consulting needs to meet Objectives and Key Results.
- Through collaboration, this position will provide increased Test Automation and capabilities that aid Product Teams in achieving their maturity growth goals and expand test automation coverage.
- The candidate will improve the speed, efficiency and quality of solutions delivered by driving the adoption of test automation performed by product teams.
- The successful candidate will help teams increase their level of test automation by providing their subject matter expertise or developing the automation tests cases as a dedicated member of the product team.
- The candidate will be responsible for interacting with project teams to understand their current level of automation and then helping them build or add new capabilities based on their desires. This may include building new functionality, teaching existing capabilities that can be provided by the Test Architecture team or adopting the use of approved tools that the team may not be aware of.
- The candidate will also help evaluate potentially more efficient tools that can be used for test automation and thereby improve the quality of solutions delivered.
- The candidate will potentially perform proof-of-concepts with the tools or even guide the tools through the process of Production implementations.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of multiple test automation tools and test automation patterns
- Experience performing test automation using an industry standard open-source automation stack (preferably java with cucumber)
- Experience testing web user interfaces and APIs
- Experience communicating with application teams to gather requirements and advise solutions that can meet standards
- Experience integrating different test automation solutions with CICD Pipelines
- Experience evaluating new tools that are requested to be brought into the enterprise by application teams and leadership
- Experience guiding tools through review and approval processes; this includes gathering product details, designing new architectures, and creating documentation for evaluation
- Experience with change management and standard development practices
- Experience with one or more scripting languages to support CICD pipeline jobs
- Experience with dependency management tools such as maven or pip
- Experience writing test automation code with IntelliJ and/or Visual Studio Code
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Experience with databases (Microsoft SQL Server is preferred)
