Scrum Master

Our client, a Fortune 100 Credit Union,  is seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join their team. This fully remote position requires the ability to work outside of normal working hours to provide technical support during product implementation or support efforts. The Scrum Master will work closely with the Product Owner to prioritize and lead the delivery of new and existing solutions that align with business initiatives and corporate strategies.

  • PLEASE NOTE: employee may be required to work outside normal working hours to provide technical support during product implementation or product support efforts.??

Key Responsibilities 

  • Act as the Scrum Master for an assigned Product Team, managing products ranging from low to high complexity.
  • Manage a continuous workflow of team deliverables, advocate for, adopt, and coach the Product Team on Lean, Agile, and Scrum practices.
  • Remove impediments, facilitate team meetings and events, and foster a high-performance environment.
  • Ensure the completion of assigned deliverables and milestones, reporting on iteration progress.
  • Exhibit behaviors of a highly skilled Lean-Agile Leader, helping the team embrace Agile core values, and apply Agile principles.
  • Implement Agile practices and provide mentorship to junior staff.
  • Support the team rules of Scrum, eliminate impediments, and lead efforts for relentless improvement and heightened efficiency.
  • Ensure the technology and service delivery roadmap supports the solution strategy and meets the needs of various solutions being delivered.
  • Facilitate the team’s progress toward team goals, utilizing current Program Increment (PI) Objectives as Iteration Goals.
  • Ensure goals, scope, and product backlog items are understood and can be fulfilled by team members.
  • Collaborate with Product Owner, customers, and developers to clarify business/systems requirements and processes.
  • Support the team’s efforts to improve communications and relationships with other delivery teams; represent the team in the Scrum of Scrums (SoS).
  • Challenge old norms of development to improve performance in quality, predictability, flow, and velocity.
  • Support software development teams in applying the Scrum framework.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to work a W2 contract (NO C2C arrangements!)
  • Candidates are required to be legally authorized to work in the US without a sponsoring employer indefinitely. At this time we can only accept US Citizens, GC EAD, GC Holders, TN Visa
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a dedicated Scrum Master.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification .
  • Strong experience with advanced analytics, data integration, and visualization using project management tools like Azure DevOps.
  • Proven experience leading agile development teams and facilitating team meetings in an Agile environment.
  • Advanced research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Skill in building strategic and execution-focused plans and alliances with partner leadership.
  • Experience in resource allocation and management.
  • Experience in leading, guiding, and coaching professional staff.
  • Knowledge of development or operations framework methodologies, including Agile principles.
  • Familiarity with IT industry standards and security procedures for product delivery.

Highly Desired Qualifications 

  • Strong fundamentals in advanced analytics, data integration, and visualization.
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in Banking/Finance/Investments, familiar with relevant terminology, concepts, business processes, and systems.
  • Advanced database and presentation software skills.
  • Working knowledge of Cloud Applications (e.g., Azure, Data Bricks).
  • Proficient in software development and system administration.
  • Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • PMI-ACP certification.
