REMOTE DevOps Engineer (Puppet) Requirements:
  • The Puppet DevOps Engineer must have a solid understanding of the Puppet Enterprise Platform.
  • Must be competent in Puppet module development from inception to deployment.
  • Must have a deep understanding of Puppet Enterprise (PE) console configuration and be able to adapt to organizational configuration practices.
  • Must adhere to SDLC best practices and be sensitive to customer-specific ITIL directives.
  • The Puppet DevOps Engineer will have Puppet Enterprise experience up through v2019.x.x, Ruby, Puppet, YAML, Bash, PowerShell, Hands-On Debugging skills, Automation Scripting, and strong understanding of Git/GitHub.
  • The Puppet DevOps engineer has practical experience using and managing the following Linux and Windows OS management: RedHat Enterprise Linux (CentOS, Fedora), Windows Server 2016-2022, Ubuntu/Debian Linux.
  • The Puppet DevOps Engineer will have experience with CI/CD, Multi-tenant Cloud management, and other configuration management platform experience (CHEF, Ansible, etc.).

REMOTE DevOps Engineer (Puppet) Responsibilities:
  • The Puppet DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the Puppet Enterprise (PE) console configuration management, development, and deployment.
  • The Puppet DevOps Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of the infrastructure and tools that support the software development process.
  • The Puppet DevOps Engineer will configure and maintain version control systems, build and deploy software releases, automate testing and validation, and monitor the performance of deployed systems.
  • The Puppet DevOps Engineer will work closely with developers and other stakeholders to understand the requirements for new software and identify opportunities for process improvement.
