As a Principal Systems Engineer you will be responsible to support teams and programs for systems engineering design, analysis, planning, implementation, troubleshooting and enhancements with respect to the GLOBALink system.

Our strategic unit with our client, Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS), provides advanced information management systems, products and services that enable the connected aviation ecosystem by bringing together our clients unique breadth of aviation products with our smart digital solutions to help us enhance every aspect of the end-to-end travel experience. The Network and Connectivity Engineering (NCE) Team within CAS Engineering has the responsibility Air Traffic Control and Airline operational data on a secure, high-availability communication system between aircraft and their airline hosts systems and Civil Aviation Authorities. This worldwide communication system consists of diverse technologies including RF, private WAN networking, Network Management, Data Analytics, Embedded Communication Protocols, Mobility management algorithms, and High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions. Over the next 5 years the NCE team, working in a hybrid, highly collaborative environment that fosters employee engagement and teamwork, will be engineering the modernization and overhaul of the world’s largest Air-to-Ground airline operation and air traffic communication system.


Responsibilities will include the following:
• Analyze statement of need and business requirements
• Lead highly technical engineering teams on challenging System focused projects
• Providing analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements
• Develop solutions with cross discipline engineering teams
• Documenting technical analysis
• Performing analysis of data flows and data logs
• Analyzing the performance of the system against established systems performance parameters such as latency, availability, and capacity
• Representing our client with the FAA customer and integrator on technical issues
• Represent our client in industry forums
