Our financial services client, the largest credit union in the world, is looking for a Technical Project Manager to support their team. Candidates must be local to Vienna, VA, Winchester, VA, or Pensacola, FL to be considered.

This team’s project will focus on software and hardware upgrades and rollouts to various environments following the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Requirements
  • Must be local to Vienna, VA, Winchester, VA, or Pensacola, Florida
  • Must have PMP Certification
  • 7-10 years of IT Project Management experience with a focus on supporting hardware and software upgrades
  • Previous experience as a PM/Scrum Master utilizing SDLC
  • Previous experience with Service Now, Visio, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong focus on delivery
  • Experience with configuration management
  • Experience with reviewing invoices and overseeing vendor work/deliverables
Preferred Skills
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Certified SAFe 5 Scrum Master (SSM)
  • Strong communicator to various levels of management and multiple stakeholders
  • Experience and knowledge of IT security policies
  • Mainframe project management experience
Responsibilities
  • Liaise with Business, Scrum teams, and technical stakeholders and report on project activities
  • Serve as PM/Scrum Master on a dedicated team following SDLC to focus on software and hardware upgrades
  • Lead and engage in multiple small to medium projects simultaneously focused on a portfolio of applications that are all part of a larger business solution
  • Manage project activities through all life cycles (using ServiceNow, SharePoint, etc.) to ensure best quality product is delivered
  • Apply expertise and best practices/tools to define/execute management of scope, schedule, risk, procurement, etc.
  • Use tools to manage ongoing team efforts, updating release schedules, staffing profiles, roadmaps, application docs, and monthly reports
  • Ensures on-time and on-budget deliver of projects through organizing, developing and routinely forecasting project plans and project plans
  • Manage transitions to ensure adoption of change, build strong partnerships and communications plans with all project stakeholders and team members
  • Adhere to the PM processes and actively prepare/participate in all structured project reviews
  • Ensure alignment of all project roles and responsibilities with all team members
  • Take initiative to improve processes, team organization, and reporting
  • Monitor and measure staff/resource assignment results against project/task goals and accountabilities
  • Develop and maintain effective rapport with vendors
  • Proactively and consistently provide relevant, accurate, and concise information to all appropriate internal/external stakeholders through a variety of media
