Are you looking to build a strong career? We currently have an opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Annapolis, MD.

The Role:
As the Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and applying all HR policies and company guidelines. This includes making sure that they adhere to standard federal and state laws/ guidelines. This role is responsible for building strong professional relationships with employees, mastery of onboarding, retaining new hires, benefits administration, and rewards and recognition programs.

You will have the opportunity to:
Provide functional/operational human resources guidance through planning, organizing, and managing processes of a growing Human Resources Department that supports a dynamic Sales and Leadership team.

  • Serve as a functional resource for employees, ensuring their understanding and compliance with benefits and providing basic HR education on policies/requirements.
  • Provide insight of any potential issues and recommend/implement solutions as appropriate.
  • Generate official internal documentation such as internal offer letters, salary/benefits adjustments, and performance improvement plans.
  • Recommend new innovative approaches to support continual improvement for the internal customers employment experience.
  • Point person for employee grievance protocols and incident reporting.
  • Review employee feedback, strategize about HR programs to benefit workplace culture and create job posts for department heads based on their hiring needs.
  • Provide support to Payroll Administration, executing payroll process if needed

The qualified candidate will have:
 

  • BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 2+ years’ experience in professional and progressive HR Generalist role
  • Knowledge of common practices and procedures used in the staffing industry preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills, including data processing, communication tools, payroll and human resources software {HRIS} – Paylocity and BullHorn preferred but not required
  • Problem-solving skills, resourceful thinking, strong empathy, and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail, organized and analytically driven
