Data Analyst – Cloud Data Warehouse/Azure Synapse

Key Responsibilities:
Data Pipeline Design: Create innovative and efficient data pipeline designs, ensuring seamless flow from source to target. Develop source to target mappings that enable data transformation and enrichment.
Data Modeling: Leverage your expertise in data engineering requirements and design practices to create effective data models. Utilize techniques like fact qualifier matrices and dimensional modeling to structure data for optimal insights.
Data Quality Assurance: Investigate data quality issues, perform comprehensive data profiling, and decipher complex operational data. Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
Collaborative Communication: Demonstrate exceptional relationship-building and communication skills to effectively collaborate with end-users. Document their needs and translate them into actionable insights.
Business Analytics Application: Work directly with end users to apply data and analytics to real-world business challenges. Your analyses will directly contribute to strategic decision-making.
Requirements Gathering: Gather, analyze, and document requirements for data engineering projects. Your insights will guide the development of effective solutions.
Integration and Testing Support: Provide vital support during integration and user acceptance testing phases. Ensure the successful deployment and functionality of data solutions.
Required Technical Skills:
Experience: You possess a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience as a Data Analyst, showcasing your deep understanding of data analysis and design.
Cloud Data Warehouse: Proficiency in working with Azure Synapse, leveraging its capabilities to build sophisticated data solutions.
Strong SQL Skills: Adept at crafting complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data.
Data Modeling: Proven expertise in designing data models, particularly for data warehousing scenarios.
Desired Technical Skills:
Azure Ecosystem: Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Databricks, and the ability to work with these tools effectively.
Big Data Technologies: Experience with PySpark and Python, enabling you to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
Data Visualization: Proficiency in tools like PowerBI and Tableau to create compelling visualizations that drive insights.
Data Management Tools: Familiarity with Erwin for efficient data modeling and management.
Domain Knowledge: Experience in the retail banking sector is a plus, allowing you to understand the unique challenges and requirements of the industry.
