As an Associate, Technology Risk on the Governance & Technology Risk team, you will be responsible for working with business partners to identify and manage potential operational risks and establish mitigating controls for assigned business units. In this role, you will be part of the first line of defense to ensure risks are identified and remain well-managed. As a risk management professional, you will demonstrate initiative and use your excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills to gain insights into and positively influence the line of business partners to ensure processes are controlled and resilient.

Key Responsibilities
? Manage operational risk within internal Technology and other related groups to an acceptable level and provide adequate reporting to senior management
? Serve as a liaison with Operational Risk Management (ORM) to manage risk control self-assessments (RCSA)
? Assure key controls for the assigned business unit(s) processes are mapped and monitored, analyze test results, and act on the failures to avoid reoccurrence
? Participate in the creation and modification of related governance documentation for the assigned business unit(s)
? Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation, and safeguarding the company and the customers
? Contribute to the review of internal processes and activities and assist in identifying potential opportunities for improvement
? Support the assigned business unit(s) to identify, reduce, and maintain the related residual risks
? Assist in the definition and tracking of the assigned business unit(s)’ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
? Maintain current knowledge of present and evolving technologies, threats, and regulations enforced by the FFIEC, FDIC, and other relevant federal / state supervisory agencies
? Simultaneously manage multiple projects while being adaptable to changing priorities
? Work closely with leadership to ensure creation of artifacts is consistent with organizational documentation standards
? Produce accurate, detailed, and timely work while meeting commitments and following policies and procedures
? Provide risk and control information and artifacts to ORM within the required timeline
? Efficiently work with moderate supervision requiring assistance in prioritizing initiatives
? Communicate effectively both verbally and written with all levels of the organization
? Enthusiastically embrace, support, and model the bank’s values and mission
? Ensure compliance with internal/external regulatory policy, procedures, and guidelines
